On February 24, 2023, we were invited to Bern to attend the event dedicated to the anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. It was an important moment for all of us to honor those who have fallen and express our support for those who continue to fight for Ukraine’s freedom and independence.
Before the main event, a small but impactful exhibition of war footage was presented. These images not only showed the horrors and destruction but also highlighted the courage and resilience of the Ukrainian people. The moments were emotionally overwhelming, yet at the same time, the strength of the spirit was clear in every frame. It was a difficult but necessary part of the evening, reminding us all why we must continue to fight and support our country.
Following this, we were invited to explore the cultural richness of Ukraine. During the event, a choir performed Ukrainian songs, and texts were read, reminding everyone of the unwavering strength of the Ukrainian people. It was deeply moving and inspiring.
During the event, numerous political and public figures expressed their support for Ukraine. It is important to note that representatives of the Swiss government, as well as diplomats and civil society leaders, showed their solidarity with Ukraine on this significant day.
After the official part of the event, we had the opportunity to meet with the ambassador and express our commitment to the HSU (Swiss Ukrainian Business Hub). This was a great opportunity to discuss further cooperation and the potential for strengthening the partnership between Ukraine and Switzerland. Thanks to this event, we were able to gain support not only from national partners but also from international allies, opening up new opportunities for business and cultural development between our countries.
It was an important and memorable day for all of us, and we are grateful to have been part of this event, which reminded us of the significance of supporting Ukraine during these challenging times.
